What’s new for classroom communication?
Did you know that every UT student has access to a free, full download of the entire Microsoft 365 Office suite of products?
Did you know that you can sync Microsoft Teams with your Canvas course to expand and maximize class communication?
One holdover from teaching during the COVID pandemic is the use of Zoom. However, Microsoft Teams has so much more to offer as a platform for communicating with students!
Channels: Utilize the main course channel (General) to communicate efficiently with your class and create other channels for various purposes/audience. For example, creating a channel for your teaching team can help capture ongoing instructional conversations and files.
Meetings: Instantly start a meeting by inviting the whole class (the general channel), small groups (select invitees), or individuals for online course meetings, live grading feedback, office hours, etc.
Bookings: From students to Teaching Assistants, anyone can quickly and easily use this feature to schedule an appointment for virtual or in-person meetings.
Plus so much more!
Please reach out to the CATE Team using our new Microsoft Bookings link below to set up a consultation for additional ways to take advantage of the new Teams/Canvas integration.
