3D Building Innovations Expanding in the Capital Region

The Business Development Team attended a meeting with Gulf Coast Additive Manufacturing & Design, the regional leader in 3D printed building innovation. Stakeholders from the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering, FAMU School of Architecture & Engineering Technology, Tallahassee Community College, the 3D printer equipment manufacturer, and CyBe Construction also attended—leading to discussions on how our educational organizations can provide R&D support to establish this cutting-edge technology as a mainstay in the region.

For the first time in the North Florida Fairs' 80-year history, beer will be served, but not just any beer—only local beer from DEEP Brewery! The beers available (at only $6 for a 16 oz pint) will be Deep's Shallow End Florida Lager, Reef Dweller IPA, and DEEPtoberfest. If beer isn't your thing, the organizers have also provided one of DEEP's seltzers on tap and wine slushies from Montezuma Winery & Hidden Marsh Distillery out of New York.

Blueprint will be hosting an open house this Saturday to provide the community with updates regarding the fairground beautification and improvement efforts and the Fairgrounds Project Master Plan. Light refreshments will be served.

| Meet Dr. Stacey Patterson! FSU's New VP of Sponsored Research

OEV Director Keith Bowers met with Dr. Patterson last week to welcome her into the community and discuss ways in which FSU and OEV can collaborate to increase the commercialization of FSU research.
FSU President Richard McCullough said, “Dr. Patterson’s stellar track record in research, economic development and leadership makes her an outstanding choice for Florida State University’s Vice President for research. Her expertise in building broad research coalitions with both public and private partners as well as her experience in moving university research out of the lab and into the marketplace will help FSU grow its research enterprise."
