Key Highlights from the Tallahassee MSA October Employment Data
|
|
|
Employment: Preliminary October employment was 197,841, a slight decrease (-0.1%) from September and down -0.8% year-over-year.
Unemployment Rate: Tallahassee MSA unemployment rose to 3.7%, slightly higher than Florida’s 3.5% but lower than the U.S. rate of 3.9%.

Labor Force: October labor force totaled 205,528, up slightly (0.1%) from September but down -0.6% from October 2023.
Earnings: Private-sector average weekly earnings dropped -0.7% year-over-year, with inflation-adjusted real earnings down -3.2%.
