Independents See A Positive Outcome for 15 Weeks Straight
Our independent grocers’ data reveals that same-store sales continue to hold to the positive patterns for the 15th week in a row. This week sales increased 12.39 percent compared to the same week last year.
Customers at every income level and demographic keep relying on having food at home versus eating out. However, the foot traffic keeps showing there’s still concern due to the COVID-19, and fewer consumers are going into the stores. The consumer count for the 3rd week of June decreased by 8.73 percent compared to 2019.
