Meet Our New Business Development Manager, Dineta Ohara
|
We are pleased to announce that Dineta Ohara has joined our team as Business Development Manager!
In this new role, Dineta will manage activities to support economic and business development opportunities in Tallahassee-Leon County.
Before her current position at OEV, she served as the Community Engagement Coordinator for Gwinnett County Government—successfully leading community engagement initiatives for the County's 2045 Unified Plan and spearheading project management efforts in workforce development for the Division of Economic Development and Neighborhood Revitalization. Dineta also served as Economic Development Coordinator at the City of Clarkston, where she directed a varied portfolio of economic development projects— emphasizing job creation, business expansion, and community development in Georgia’s most diverse city.

Leadership Tallahassee Class 41 Explores Local Economic Development Projects

OEV successfully coordinated an Economic Development Program for Leadership Tallahassee Class 41 that featured:

A presentation from the Tallahassee International Airport team about the economic impact of the International Processing Facility currently under construction and a visit to the construction site.

A visit to the MagLab, which included a discussion about how OEV and community partners promote magnetics research and technology in Tallahassee-Leon County.

A tour of Danfoss’ manufacturing facility.
- A tour of North Florida Innovation Labs, which is scheduled to open in early 2024.

A visit to the SoMo Walls construction site, including a discussion on the investments made by the local government and community leaders to revitalize the South Side.
