Project-based Learning (PBL) Observation Opportunity!

As part of the first Hook ‘Em on PBL Faculty Practicum, two Moody College faculty members are providing opportunities to observe their project launch class.

Dr. Katie Bradford’s Crisis Communication project launch occurs on Wednesday, September 4th, from 12:00 to 1:50 pm with a panel of community stakeholders proposing real workplace conflict scenarios to support student-created training solutions in resolving conflict.

Award-winning RTF Area Head for Audio and Assistant Professor of Practice, Korey Pereira, has offered an opportunity to observe his class on Wednesday, September 4th, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, as filmmakers premiere film projects for students to consider as possible sound editing projects.

CATECon: Teaching and Learning Mini Sessions

Join us for the first annual CATECon! CATECon sessions will get you up to speed on new policy, best instructional design practice, and educational technology options. 9:00 am – Syllabus Development and Simple Syllabus Demo
Start with the end in mind! Craft course learning outcomes to align with activities and assessments. Chunk learning in the academic schedule. Follow along in a Simple Syllabus demonstration.

10:00 am – Setting Up Your Course in Canvas
Boost your Canvas presence to exceed minimum expectations. Demonstrations will be conducted live in Canvas as you actively build components in your course.

12:00 pm – Using Educational Technology and MS Copilot Demo
Participate in a demonstration of the Ally tool in Canvas to address digital accessibility issues. Find out where to get help with remediation of course materials. Experiment with MS Copilot as a licensed AI tool for faculty and students. Build AI prompt engineering skills. Consider how to start the conversation around AI in your syllabus.
