Condair Action
The design of the RS-130 208V/3 and RS-065 208V/3 units have been updated to address the issues noted above
- RS-130 208V/3 models will now include 60A fuses instead of 50A fuses.
- RS-65 208V/3 models will now include fused contactors in place of unfused ones.
With these changes, the product hold on the two affected RS models will be lifted, effective immediately. You may resume sizing and ordering the two humidifiers in the Help software.
Existing humidifiers will require retrofits to upgrade the fusing and contactors as appropriate.
Condair will contact Sales Agents showing sales of these humidifiers between January 1, 2015 and October 19, 2020 and will provide a listing of affected sales orders. Two kits will be available:
- 2597296 – SP Fuse 60A will be provided to replace 50A fuses in the RS 130 208V/3 humidifiers at no charge. This part number includes a single fuse, a total of 6 fuses are required per RS-130 humidifier. The estimated time to complete this retrofit is 30 minutes.
- 2600373 – SP RS 65 208V Fusing Retrofit will be provided to perform the upgrade to RS-065 208V/3 humidifiers at no charge. The estimated time to complete this retrofit is 90 minutes. INSTRUCTIONS
As primary wiring is involved, appropriately trained tradespeople are required to install the kits.
