A special message from ATMIA to all our members.
A special message from ATMIA to all our members.
Dear Industry professional,
Southeast Asia is showing strong signs of a resounding recovery in 2022. In the wake of difficult times in 2021, strong government stimulus and new opportunities as travel restrictions are eased means that it is likely the region will see strong economic growth this year. Particular opportunities can be seen in the Tourism industry, which in many countries plays a key part in cash use. The resilience of the ATM Industry has been shown during this challenging period, and now is the time to make the most of new opportunities and seize the moment.

An important part of achieving this will be ATMIA’s Next-Gen Asian ATMs conference, being held in Singapore on 27th & 28th July 2022.
Over the two days, delegates can look forward to hearing the views of our global and domestic experts who will share their insights on the opportunities that face this dynamic industry.
Confirmed banks & companies already committed to this event include:
  • DBS Bank
  • RXL2020
  • CIBC
  • Standard Charter Bank
  • Interpol
  • Oberthur Cash Protection
  • Arkwright Consulting
  • With more companies scheduled to secure a speaking slot in the coming weeks.
Start planning now and be part of an industry forum as we all work together and plan the future of the industry to 2050 and beyond. For more information on this upcoming 2022 Asia event, please contact sandra.smith@atmia.com.

2022 ATMIA U.S.A. Conference a smashing success

As many of the attendees remarked, "It felt like a family reunion".  The 23rd annual U.S. conference closed last Thursday on a high note and an eye toward the future.

The challenges and restrictions have yet to disappear, but the tell-tale signs of normalcy are emerging everywhere you look.  Attendees included participants from 21 different countries – nearly all of whom were not permitted to travel to Las Vegas last June.  Financial institution representation saw a big increase.

Perhaps the most notable feature of the event was the incredible energy of the exhibit hall for the Opening Reception.  Everyone was clearly ready to get back to face-to-face networking and excited to see what was new from the vendors.  The exhibitor count went up to 105, from only 80 last year.

Session attendance was also excellent.  ATMIA and member leadership led off the program with remembrances of how ATMIA began and its many accomplishments over the past 25 years.  Popular topics in the educational program included cryptocurrency compliance, cash management, ATM security, and revenue strategies for IADs.

ATMIA CEO, Mike Lee, was among those back in the U.S. for the first time in two years.  So it definitely had the feel of a reunion for ATMIA staff, as well.

All are hopeful that everything will be completely back to normal for the next ATMIA U.S. conference in New Orleans, February 7-9, 2023.  Watch for the Call for Speakers in the May/June time frame.
