Have you tested your Spill and Overfill Prevention Equipment for integrity and functionality?
- Testing is required every three years!
Do you have pressurized piping using Interstitial Monitoring with secondary containment? Have you tested the integrity of your containment sumps to ensure the equipment is liquid-tight?
- Testing is required every three years! (For single wall containment sumps. Double-wall containment sumps monitored with interstitial sensors do not have to conduct the three-year integrity testing.)
Have you tested your Electronic and Mechanical Release Detection Equipment for proper operability? (ATG, probes and sensors, automatic line leak detectors, vacuum pumps, and gauges)
- Testing is required annually!
Are you conducting Monthly and Annual Walkthrough Inspections?
- Monthly: Spill Prevention Equipment and Release Detection Equipment
- Annual: Containment Sumps and Handheld release detection equipment
- Twelve monthly walkthrough inspections and the most recent annual walkthrough inspection are required
Compatibility: Are you storing blended fuels greater than 10% ethanol or a blend of greater than 20% biodiesel?
- Have you submitted an Equipment Compatibility checklist (CN-1285) and a statement of compatibility (CN-1283)?
Release Detection for Emergency Generator UST systems:
- Are you conducting release detection on your emergency generator UST, pressurized piping and/or non-safe suction piping? (Have you verified your piping configuration(s) to determine your piping release detection requirements?)
