Our 2022 Giving Day was a great success! We are grateful for all your donations. On Tuesday, more than 950 alumni, faculty, staff, students, and friends supported UTHSC’s vital work. We exceeded our goal of 750 gifts in 24 hours. Factoring in all the matches and challenges, Giving Day 2022 raised over $530,000 to support scholarships, improve programming, and build healthier communities.

| Last Day for Diversity and Inclusion Mini-Grant Applications

Tomorrow, Friday, April 29, is the deadline to submit applications for the Diversity and Inclusion Mini-Grants. All faculty, staff, students, and trainees are eligible to apply for up to $3,000 to fund a diversity and inclusion project. Student organizations are also encouraged to apply.

| Volunteer Opportunities at Vaccination Events

UTHSC, Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, Memphis Area Transit Authority, Memphis-Shelby County Schools, and the Shelby County Health Department are partnering to host pop-up vaccination events during the Spring and Summer. Volunteers needed in multiple roles.

Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity will host a kickball tournament at Doc’s Field May 1, at 11:00 am. This is open to all students, faculty, and staff. Snacks, drinks, music, and prizes!

Construction Begins Today on the Madison Plaza Deck!
|
The exterior first-floor ramp connecting the Madison Plaza to the H-Lot Garage will be closed today, Thursday, April 28, through Friday, August 19, for construction of the Madison Plaza Deck, a new outdoor gathering space on campus.
Beginning today, anyone who parks in the H-Lot Garage must access the 910, 920, and 930 Madison Buildings through the concourse by taking the H-Lot Garage elevators or stairs down to the bottom floor at the concourse level.
