Alpha Link Will Connect Two of Alpharetta’s Major Trail Systems |
|
|
|
Alpharetta City Council recently approved a $16 million design-build contract for the Alpha Link, a new trail that will connect the Alpha Loop near Morrison Lake to the Big Creek Greenway. The trail will run alongside GA 400 between Haynes Bridge Road and Encore Parkway, closing an important gap between two of the city’s most popular trail systems.
As part of the project, True North 400 is contributing $977,411 toward the Encore Alpha Link Plaza at Fanfare Way and Encore Parkway. The new plaza will complement work already underway by True North 400 and the City of Alpharetta at the Encore Greenway Park and Gateway, creating a more welcoming connection to the surrounding trail network.
Together, these investments are creating more ways for people to walk, bike and move throughout the district while better connecting Alpharetta’s destinations, businesses and public spaces.

Changes Along SR 400 Are Building Toward an Exciting Future |
Drivers may notice more construction activity and changes along SR 400 as work continues on the SR 400 Express Lanes project. The project will add 16 miles of new express lanes while supporting future transit, improved connectivity and more reliable travel throughout the corridor.
As construction progresses, trees and landscaping will continue to be impacted. The Landscaping at the four interchanges within True North 400 (Mansell Road, Haynes Bridge Road, Old Milton Parkway, and Windward Parkway) will be replaced as part of the project once construction is complete. Restoring these areas is important as these long-term mobility improvements take shape and create economic opportunity for the corridor.

Roswell’s advanced manufacturing sector continues to gain momentum. PBS Aerospace, located in Northmeadow Business Park, has completed a 10,000-square-foot expansion of its Roswell manufacturing facility, adding two new engine test cells and doubling its capacity. The expansion comes just one year after the company began production at the facility.
The Roswell operation now totals 30,000 square feet, employs 90 people and has the capacity to produce 5,000 turbojet engines annually within the newly expanded space. PBS Aerospace is already planning for a second production shift as it works toward its goal of producing 10,000 engines annually by 2028.
