Dear Cub Family,
I had the pleasure of living the ULS Mission and Vision this past week when LSU College of Human Sciences & Education Dean Roland Mitchell, representatives with the School of Education and I met with the Louisiana Association of School Superintendents Region II regarding future professional development collaborations for emerging school leaders.
While our school's primary purpose will always be to provide the highest level of instructional delivery and assessment for our own students, ULS was founded to serve as a demonstration school. I consider it an honor to carry the torch forward, with all of you - our faculty, staff, students and parents - to share our unique ties to the state's flagship university to uplift and transform education beyond our campus for the benefit of all Louisianians.
My week, of course, has also included continued listening and learning within our own community. Thank you to the 71 community members who have completed the Director's Plan Feedback Form and the additional 239 who have begun a submission. Please hit submit! I would love to hear from you.
Links to my 100-Day Plan and Feedback Form are included at the end of this email. The Feedback Form will be available through September 18. I strongly encourage you to continue to share your thoughts and ideas with me. The information I am gathering is an important and valuable asset as we move forward together.
As always, thank you all for your time and dedication to our school.
Sincerely,
Kevin R. George
