From the Salsbury Director |
Hi everyone!
I am so excited for you to finally be reading the first edition of the National Trial Team newsletter. This idea is several years in the making, and I am grateful to our two amazing Public Relations Chairs Faith Kim and Hannah Elster for working tirelessly to make this project a reality.
This season - my fourth as director of the Trial Team - is shaping up to be one of our most exciting years in a long time. We're defending our title at Hofstra Medical-Legal, traveling to Denver's Summit Cup for the first time since 2018, returning to the National Trial League where we finished as National Runner-Up last season, and also heading to New York, Atlanta, San Francisco, and Washington DC. As always, we are so grateful to all of our alumni for your support of the Trial Team. You make it possible to travel and compete across the country like we do.
I am thrilled to announce that this February, Maryland Carey Law will be hosting the Mid-Atlantic National Trial Competition (NTC) Regional. I hope to see many of you on February 9-11, 2024 at the law school to judge and come to our alumni and judges' reception. We are so excited to be hosting NTC this season, and our team is already hard at work preparing to host an excellent regional tournament.
Thank you for taking the time to read our inaugural newsletter, and as always - go Maryland!

| Every newsletter will feature one of our fantastic team members!
Please welcome Sydney Branch (she/they). Sydney is a 3L and has been with the team since the Spring of 2022. She has competed in the Quinnipiac Criminal Trial Competition and NTC. The Quinnipiac team made quarterfinals and the NTC made semifinals!
Our team is lucky to have Sydney and we know we're going to go far with them here!
