» Major Players: As the show gets closer, expect news of who's performing and presenting at The 48th Annual CMA Awards to trickle out weekly. The first round of performers revealed are nine-time nominee Miranda Lambert , four-time nominee Keith Urban , and three-times-each nominees Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan . The awards air Nov. 5 on ABC .


» Game On: Florida Georgia Line  are ready for football season. Last Saturday (9/13) they tweeted , " Fooooootttbaalllll Saturday!!!!! Ahhhhh this is awesome!!!!" Now they've taken their devotion one step further – they've recorded a customized version of "That's What's Up" from their upcoming Anything Goes album for CBS Sports' coverage of SEC football. The duo will also headline the Anything Goes Tailgate 2014 concert in Jacksonville, FL Oct. 31, and video from the show will be featured in SEC On CBS coverage of the Georgia-Florida game Nov. 1.




» Show Of Fans: Garth Brooks has added three shows to his Jacksonville tour stop for a current total of six. Previously announced dates include Oct. 10, 11 and 12. Following last Friday's (9/12) onsale, Oct. 16, 17 and 18 were added. The concerts will take place at Veterans Memorial Arena at 7:30pm. Get yours here .


» Cash Collection: If you live in the western part of the U.S. and can't make it to Nashville to visit the Johnny Cash Museum , you can still get your Cash fix a little closer to home. The Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix, AZ now has two new exhibits showcasing items from Cash and the Carter Family. Items on display include a guitar played by A.P. Carter and a black Manuel stage suit worn by Cash. Other exhibits with country ties in the museum's Artist Gallery include Toby Keith , Taylor Swift and Roy Orbison .

  • Darius Rucker will release his first Christmas album, Home For The Holidays , Oct. 27. The album features standards as well as two Rucker originals, "Candy Cane Christmas" and "What God Wants For Christmas." Sheryl Crow joins Rucker on "Baby It's Cold Outside."
