Research Internship Opportunity: The Empower Lab at NYU
The NYU Empower Lab is seeking students to work in their lab for the summer.
Visit the Empower Lab website for information about previous projects. Examples of current research topics include (but are not limited to):
● Retrospective analysis of clinic for survivors of sex trafficking and sexual violence
● Qualitative exploration of sugar dating practices in NYU undergraduate students
● Scoping review of screening for male perpetration of intimate partner violence
● Systematic literature review examining of trauma-informed-care practices

2. Cover letter describing your interests and relevant experience (PDF Format Preferred)
3. Any academic writing sample (no more than 4 pages, can be partial)
● Be sure to include any additional skills such as statistical programming
● Students with a mastery of social media and/or audiovisual proficiency encouraged but not required
● BIPOC students are especially encouraged to apply
This position is unpaid. However, RAs have obtained outside funding for their work. We encourage you to reach out if finances may be a barrier to applying. Please note that students must be available from 1:00-3:00PM on Thursdays for lab meetings, and must be able to devote 8 hours per week to the Empower Lab for one year.
