SPRC Special Announcement
SPRC Special Announcement
Dear Church Family,
Let’s come together in love and support for our pastors! We were recently reminded through confirmation and in receiving new members that as a church we support one another through our prayers, presence, service, gifts and witness. We want to encourage you to lift all of our clergy and staff in prayer during this season of transition.
Prayers: Beginning this week we will have a table outside of the sanctuary where you can write cards offering prayer and support for Pastor Steven and his family as well as Pastor Lindsay and her family. You can write one card for the family or one for each of the family members.
Service: Many people have asked how we can best support Pastor Steven and his family during this time. A friend of the family has set up a website where updates will be provided as well as ways we can care for their family.
You can request to join the Newcomb Page here: https://my.lotsahelpinghands.com/community/newcomb/home and an administrator will grant you access so that you can be up to date on the journey and know more specifically how to offer care as well as prayer.
Gifts: Some have asked how we can care for Pastor Steven and welcome Pastor Lindsay during this season through gifts. For Pastor Steven and his family, gift cards for Door Dash and Uber Eats is one of the best options that will allow he and his wife to order food whether they are in the Medical Center or at home. For Pastor Lindsay and her family, you are welcomed to include a gift card in your note(s) for their family that will be of help as their family adjusts their routines for a downtown commute and the busyness of starting in a new appointment.
Witness: We invite you to prayerfully consider how you can participate in the life of the church through service, programs such as Vacation Bible Camp and additional programs as we celebrate the work God continues to do in and through our church as we Gather, Grow and Get Connected! Check out the welcome message from Pastor Lindsay Kirkpatrick.
Your care matters. Thank you for being the hands and feet of Christ.
Sincerely,
Staff Parish Relations Committee
