You may have recently received our Summer Fund Drive letter in your mailbox, featuring listener stories, including Lindsay's.
As Lindsay prepares to take the LSAT and follow in her grandfather’s footsteps toward a career in law, Audio-Reader is reading an LSAT prep book to help her pursue that dream. Your support makes stories like Lindsay’s possible by ensuring that people who are blind, visually impaired, or print disabled have access to the information they need.

A Successful Day, Even Without the Golf |
For the first time in 17 years, we had to cancel the Audio-Reader Golf Classic due to weather after torrential downpours flooded Eagle Bend Golf Course the night before the tournament. (The image shows standing water on the course the day of the event. Parts of the path were also impassable due to standing water.)
While we were disappointed not to spend the day on the course with everyone, our golfers, friends, sponsors, and silent auction supporters stepped up in an incredible way. Thanks to their generosity, we raised $36,000 despite the cancellation. That's the same amount as last year's tournament!
We missed seeing everyone and, of course, would much rather have been playing golf. But we are grateful for the support that helped make this year’s fundraiser a success. We look forward to getting back on the course with you next year!

Congratulations to volunteers Michael Gier, Dr. Carl Graves, and Doug Heacock for their time, talents and award-winning readings. We also thank Bill Kurtis and the University Press of Kansas for partnering with Audio-Reader for the audio version of Whirlwind: My Life Reporting the News.

Meet an Audio-Reader Intern |
| Meet Disha Chakraborty! Originally from India, Disha is a senior at the University of Kansas studying Astronomy and is spending her year with Audio-Reader as our Development and Marketing Intern.
Disha helps manage our social media platforms, assists with event planning, and pitches in wherever she’s needed. She has lots of great ideas and we’re excited to implement them. She recently became a member of the Lawrence Noon Lions Club, too! We’re excited to have Disha as part of the Audio-Reader team and are grateful for all she brings to our organization.

On the Road: Summer Donation Drives |
Our summer donation drives were a great success, helping us collect much-needed audio equipment, records, and other items for our upcoming sales! With stops in Topeka, Lawrence, Wichita, and Manhattan, we were able to connect with supporters across the region and gather some fantastic donations.
A special thank you goes to our intern Evan Lugo, who helped make these donation drives a success!
If you have a connection with a business or venue that would like to host a donation drive, please email us HERE.
