News to Know:
THE GYM BRICKS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED! If you purchased an engraved brick during the Lower School Gym Project, please visit the beautiful display that was placed between the LS Gym and the ramp.  Thank you to NP parents, Shawn and Christy Martinez with Southern Landscape & Design for working hard to finish this project before the 4th Quarter Exhibit Night.

LOST AND FOUND: Please check the Lost and Found on both the upper and lower school campuses. All unclaimed items will be donated to a local charity on Thursday, May 23rd. 
Online registration for all students returning to a Hamilton County school will be open May 6 – June 7th. All students must be registered by the June 7th deadline. This is only one portion of registration. The remainder of registration will be in August. Please check our website in July for the next steps. https://www.hcde.org/parents___students/online_registration. Snapcodes will not be needed for registration. 

2019-2020 Learning Expedition Shirts

All students PK-8th grades will have the same learning expedition shirt for next school year. They are now on sale through Monday, July 8 for the 2019 -2020 school year.  Orders placed by Monday, July 8 will be shipped to your home by the end of July, just in time for the new school year!  The link T-shirt_order_info.pdf to the online store can be found on the school website and school Facebook page.

Show your School Pride this Summer: Haven't Made Your SPARK Donation Yet For This School Year? Here is an easy way to do it: The SPARK window and yard signs are here! The yard signs are 18 " wide and 24" tall and come with a stand. ($100) and window signs are 15" tall and 12" wide and are great for a business window ($50). Please go to normal park.kindful.com and select the SPARK yard or window sign campaign in the drop down menu. Library News: Please turn in any overdue books to the library as soon as possible. The Chattanooga Library offers several programs over the summer.

SPORTS PHYSICALS: The Lightning Athletic Club is offer $10 sports physicals TONIGHT, May 20th at the Upper School Gym for 5:30-7:30. All forms will be provided. Please bring your insurance card. All NPMM student athletics MUST have an update (after 4/15/19) physical in order to participate in athletics for the 2019-2020 school year.  All 4th and 5th grade students athletes will also need a sports physical to participate.
Field Day: All students should come dressed in shorts, t-shirts, socks and athletic shoes. Students should also put sunscreen before arriving to school because it is likely going to be sunny & hot!  We will have water, snacks, and ice pops available, but students should also bring a water bottle for hydration.   
SCHEDULE
8:30 a.m.                 School assembly in auditorium.
9:00 a.m.                 Pre-K, K, 1st grades outside for Field Day activities
11:00 a.m.               Pre-K, K & 1st grade classes return to classrooms for clean-up & lunches.  11:00 a.m.               2nd & 3rd grades will eat in classrooms with room parents helping out.
12:00 p.m.               2nd and 3rd grades outside for Field Day activities.   
2:00 p.m.                 Field Day ends for 2nd and 3rd grade. All students return to classrooms and wait for afternoon announcements. 
2:00- 3:00 p.m.  VOLUNTEERS BREAK DOWN ALL OF FIELD DAY

Upper School News  

Sack lunches: students will be given a chance to sign up in class next week if they need a sack lunch for Field Day (Wednesday, May 22) or for the last half day of school (Thursday, May 23).  Please contact your child's homeroom teacher if you have any questions or want to confirm if your child has signed up for a lunch.

Lightning Athletic Club (LAC)

LAC Fence Sign: Want to advertise your company along Market Street and support Normal Park Athletics at the same time? Contact Candida Combs, LAC Board Member, candidamansueto@yahoo.com. Signs are $600 to advertise for one year and $500 to renew.
Interested in Summer Conditioning for Cross Country?  Running is so fundamental to every sport, and we want our students to learn about conditioning, nutrition, and strength training. Summer Conditioning

All NPMM Fall Student Athletes are invited to begin Summer conditioning. The goal is to prep for the 2019-2020 sports season by working out, learning to fuel your body, strength training, and conditioning. Please join the Remind App for special dates and details.
