This month, four-time NHL All Star, 2018 Vezina Trophy winner and 2021 King Clancy Award winner Pekka Rinne's number will head to the Bridgestone Arena rafters! To celebrate, we are hosting a once-in-a-lifetime event. Join us on Wednesday, Feb. 23 for Pekka Rinne's Retirement Celebration presented by King Jewelers & Grant Hyatt. The luncheon will take place at the Grand Hyatt Nashville and gives SMASHVILLIANS the exclusive opportunity to hear memorable moments and stories from Pekka's decorated career in Nashville. Proceeds from the event will benefit the 365 Pediatric Cancer Fund presented by Twice Daily, which Pekka Rinne started with former Preds captain Shea Weber in the 2012-13 season.  For more details and to secure your seat, click below!

Preds Wine Fest returns next month!

Another exciting Preds Foundation event is on the horizon! The 15th Annual Wine Festival and Tasting presented by Deacon's New South returns to Bridgestone Arena on Friday, March 11, 2022. The Nashville Predators Foundation empowered by SmileDirectClub is now accepting applications for the 2022 Jack Diller Education Award. Black Hockey History museum coming to SMASHVILLE
During the weekend of the Stadium Series, SMASHVILLE will also host the NHL Black Hockey History Tour presented by American Legacy! The museum will be here on Feb. 25-26 at Bridgestone Arena and admission is free. The mobile museum "showcases today's stars while also looking back at pioneers and trailblazers who helped shape NHL history." We are looking forward to hosting this incredible museum in SMASHVILLE. NHL Black Hockey History Tour
Our grant program has been renamed the Predators Foundation “Helper Grants,” after former Nashville Predators SVP and Senior Advisor, Gerry Helper. Helper retired in December 2021 after 40-plus years in the NHL, including 24 spent with the Nashville Predators where he most recently held the position of Chairman of the Board of the Nashville Predators Foundation empowered by SmileDirectClub. The 2022 Helper Grants will be awarded this spring! For more info on the renaming of the grants program, click below.

Preds Foundation and SmileDirectClub award $100,000 SuperGrant
Last month we awarded Communities in Schools of Tennessee a SmileDirectClub SuperGrant for $100,000. This is the largest SuperGrant we have given out since the program's inception in the 2019-20 season. Communities in Schools of Tennessee helps kids overcome challenges both inside and outside of the classroom. This SuperGrant will allow Communities in Schools of Tennessee to continue working with five Metro Nashville Public Schools. We are grateful for our partnership with SmileDirectClub to support organizations that make a big difference in our community.

Hearts of Gold spotlight
Our Preds staff love getting out into the community and volunteering! Each full-time staff member is encouraged to volunteer at least 40 hours of service throughout the course of each season with a company-wide goal of serving 8,000 hours per year! Last month, we partnered with Hunt Brothers Pizza for our monthly Feeding the Frontlines initiative. We distributed Hunt Brothers Pizza, drinks, snacks and Preds swag to teachers and staff at Cora Howe School and Nashville Classical Charter School. Wine Fest volunteers needed

We are looking for volunteers for our Wine Festival and Tasting presented by Deacon's New South on March 11 at Bridgestone Arena. Grades & Blades presented by Fifth Third Bank is a FREE skating program that creates leaders of the future through skating skills, time management and life skills.
