GRANDPARENTS DAY: We will be celebrating Grandparents Day on Tuesday, November 22nd, and invitations are going out this week to grandparents whose address has been provided to us. LADIES OF CHARITY GIFT BASKETS: The Ladies of Charity are once again asking for our help to fill gift baskets. This year we are collecting dried beans. Click here for the letting going home in this week's Friday folder.
TWO-DAY BOOK FAIR - FALL BOOK FAIR VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! The Fall Mini Book Fair coincides with our Grandparents Day celebration. Help out on Friday, November 17th with setup, or on Monday or Tuesday, November 20th and 21st with operations and cleanup. It's fun, and you might find a few Christmas gifts! FALL MINI BOOK FAIR will be open in the CKS Library on Monday, November 20th from 8 to 4 and Tuesday, November 21st (Grandparents Day) from 9:30 to 12:30. Grades K-8 will visit during school hours. Please tell grandparents they are invited to shop on Grandparents Day during the school touring time after mass. Sales benefit the school library! Click here for more information.
PreK was welcomed into the community at Mass on Tuesday. They will be attending with their 6th grade buddies from now on.
COMMUNITY NEWS
THE WIZARD OF OZ is presented by St. Cecilia Academy...just follow the yellow brick road for this magical event, featuring Alex Strobel CKS '14 as the scarecrow! Performances are through November 12th. Click here for performances.
A CHRISTMAS CAROL is being presented by Father Ryan High School, from November 9th-11th at the Center for the Arts at 7:00p, featuring some of our CKS alumni - Gretchen Lux, '16, Charlotte Duke '16, and Tanner Clark '14. Click here for performances.
CHRISTMAS CHOIR REGISTRATION: CTK is beginning registration for the annual Christmas choir for children in grades K-5. Children must attend all five rehearsals to be eligible to particlpate. Those dates are 4:30p on November 5th & 19th and December 3rd & 10th, as well as the formal rehearsal on December 21st at 3:00p. Email or call Kathy Skinner in the parish office.
Our Fourth Grade Wax Saint Museum was a big hit with everyone yesterday!
