Download the Nats24 Guidebook App

The Nats24 Guidebook app includes schedules, maps, award details, and more. It is your most important tournament resource. Learn more or follow these steps to download the app. 

1. Go to the app store that corresponds with your device and search for “Guidebook.”
2. Follow the prompts on your screen, and Guidebook will download.
3. Open up the Guidebook app on your device.
4. Use the Search box to type in “Nats24.”
5. Tap “Get” to download the guide to your device. You may be prompted to allow push notifications and location services. We strongly encourage allowing push notifications for important reminders. 

Check out the 2024 Tournament Program Book

The commemorative tournament program book contains tournament info, award winner details, and more. Check out the online version before you arrive! Each student and two adults per school will receive a copy at registration.

Meet the 2024 Middle School Coach of the Year

Congratulations to Adriena Young Toghia from Parks Junior High School in California for being named Middle School Coach of the Year! Adriena is the Director of Speech and Debate for the Fullerton School District in California. She and her coaching staff work with students to teach vital communication skills and confidence that students will utilize for the rest of their lives. 

Judge Reminders

• All judges are committed through the end of the tournament and are expected to judge any round assigned within their event group. Judges will not receive assignments until up to 30 minutes prior to the round’s start time.
• All ballots and judging assignments will be released digitally on Tabroom.com. 
• Each school must post a judge bond of $200. Judge bonds will be forfeited if judges miss or are late to round assignments. The first round missed will result in forfeiture of the judge bond, and each subsequent round missed will incur a $100 fine.
• Judges who are meeting high school judging obligations may NOT also be listed to judge Middle School Nationals since competition will be occurring at the same time. Coaches of middle school teams who are listed as high school judges may find that they are assigned to judge during middle school competition and should plan accordingly for middle school supervision and judging.

General Reminders 

Free Lunch for Students » We are excited to once again offer free lunch for competitors at Nationals! This year, free lunch will be available Monday through Thursday at all competition sites for competitors. Check out the menu for more details. Please note: All lunches will have gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian substitutes available upon request. 

Meals for Adults » Adults can purchase the same meals served to students at schools for $6 using cards or cash. Adults at the Iowa Events Center may purchase from various food vendors, which will only accept cards. Lunch is not provided for judges, but light continental breakfast offerings will be available for judges in the hospitality lounge and snacks will be available throughout the day. 

Concessions » Concessions at all school locations will accept cards and cash. Concessions at the Iowa Events Center will only accept cards.

Iowa Events Center Parking » Parking is $12/day at the large outdoor lot near the Center. Upon arrival, the booth agent will give attendees a voucher that allows in and out privileges that day. Bus parking is also available and allowed overnight. In addition, there is metered street parking and some city ramps for $10 that are within walking distance.
