New Coach at Nationals Newsletter  |  June 11, 2016
A publication of the National Speech & Debate Association

Dear Coach,

Tomorrow you begin the most exciting week of the speech and debate season—the National Tournament. Your students represent the top 3% in the nation, and they wouldn’t be here without YOU.

Throughout the week, we will send out an evening newsletter to preview the following day for you and your team at Nationals. The Tournament Book will serve as your ultimate guide for event details, and should always be consulted if you are unsure, but this newsletter is meant to provide extra guidance to help you plan the day ahead!
Sunday Must Do's
Stop by the New Coach Reception » Join us in Room 251 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for one-on-one facetime with the organization’s Board of Directors and senior staff, including Executive Director J. Scott Wunn. You will have an opportunity to ask questions, become oriented to the tournament in a more personal manner, and enjoy the company of other new coaches. On top of that, you’ll have the opportunity to nibble on cookies and brownies. Attendees will be eligible for exciting prizes in our drawing!

Parking Reminder »
We have arranged discounted parking in the Park Place lot, which is located between 200 West and 300 West, directly north of the convention center on South Temple. It is also directly across the street from the Radisson Hotel. Parking is $3.00 per entry. The lot has approximately 1,200 spaces. Discounted prices are valid during Sunday registration (June 12) as well as final rounds on Thursday and Friday (June 16-17).
