Elio Morillo was born in Ecuador, spent his childhood in Puerto Rico, and graduated high school in NYC. He completed his undergraduate career as a mechanical engineer with a minor in electrical engineering as well as a master's in systems engineering & design, both at the University of Michigan.

Elio is passionate about space exploration, expansion, and equitable access. He is a SHPE Lifetime member with 10 years of involvement at the local, regional, and national levels.
