Associate Professor of African American Studies Renee Simms will give a pre-show talk before a screening of Jordan Peele’s film Get Out at The Grand Cinema in Tacoma on Mar. 18 at 5:30 p.m. Simms’ talk is part of The Grand’s new series, The Silver Screen Society, and will cover the theme of Black consciousness, estrangement, and artistic points of view through the lens of the film.

Do you know a student, student organization, faculty, or staff member who has demonstrated exemplary leadership and commitment to our community? Nominate them for the Puget Sound Leadership Awards! Awards are presented in four categories: outstanding program awards, Associated Students of the University of Puget Sound (ASUPS) awards, Greek Life awards, and Resident Student Association awards. Nominations are due Sunday, Mar. 19, and the winners will be recognized at a ceremony during Spring Family Weekend.

Interim Provost Nick Kontogeorgopoulos and his advisee Lilly Tierney ’23 were among the students and faculty who attended the Dean's List Celebration on Tuesday, Mar. 7, in Rasmussen Rotunda. The event recognized students who achieved a GPA of 3.70 or higher in the spring or fall of 2022 and gave students a chance to thank their favorite professors.
