CC Tiger News

Siblings Effie Stroud Frazier '31 and Kelley Dolphus Stroud '31 persevered through hardship and discrimination and were among the first African-American students to graduate from Colorado College, both of them in 1931. CC’s Stroud Scholars program is named in honor of Effie and Kelley. The Kelley Dolphus Stroud ’31 Club Level on the fourth floor of CC’s Ed Robson Arena, which was formally dedicated at a ceremony in December 2021, honors the family’s legacy with photos and text. The exhibit is open to members of the CC and broader community during arena events and regular business hours. Athletics: Kate Brush Selected for NCAA Division III Swimming Championships. Congratulations to junior Kate Brush for earning a trip to the NCAA Division III Swimming Championships! Commencement 2022

Congratulations, parents and families of Class of 2022 graduates! Your amazing students are so close to completing their time at CC. Keep an eye on your inbox for upcoming emails with all the important details regarding Commencement Weekend 2022. You can also find updates as they become available on CC's Commencement 2022 web page. Plans are underway for many exciting events, including the Commencement Ceremony at 1:30 p.m. on May 22, 2022, in CC's own Ed Robson Arena. We hope to see many of you on campus to celebrate.
Please remind your graduating students to submit their application to graduate by the April 20 deadline. Students who are eligible will find the link to the application on their student menu in Banner SSB. It takes them only a few minutes to complete this application, which allows them to opt into the ceremony (plus provide their height information for a gown), and confirm their diploma name and mailing address should they end up not attending the ceremony.
Students are also invited to attend Grad Fair on April 27-28, where they can take care of all outstanding business with offices from across campus, ask questions, update their contact information, record their name for Commencement, and more.
