The Brain's Response to Inflammation

Marie Burns, Ph.D., professor in the Center for Neuroscience and Department of Cell Biology and Human Anatomy at UC Davis, studies neuroinflammation associated with mental illness and the molecular mechanisms of microglia activation and regulation through gene therapy. (PDF)

Mental Health Policy 

A.B. 2017- The College Mental Health Services Program, introduced by ASM Kevin McCarty, has moved to the governor's desk to be signed. The bill creates a grant program for public colleges, in collaboration with county behavioral health departments, to improve access to mental health services and early identification or intervention programs.

Sacramento County expands mid-level services through residential treatment centers.
