Keep Massachusetts Beautiful
Dear Friend,
Happy Holidays! As the last days of the year tick off the calendar, we're grateful for your support in 2025 and look forward to making even more progress toward our vision of a cleaner, greener Massachusetts in 2026.

One Step Forward for Litter Prevention in Massachusetts!

The Joint Committee on Transportation recently voted favorably to support S. 2390—our Litter Prevention & Cleanup Task Force bill.

While this is just one small step on the long journey of enacting legislation, we are grateful to everyone who reached out to their legislators and the Transportation Committee in support of this common-sense effort to PREVENT litter in Massachusetts.

Our next step will be to host a legislative briefing at the State House on January 14 (time and location TBD). Contact us if you are interested in attending or would like to encourage your State Senator or Representative to attend.

KMB Kudos: Keep Framingham Beautiful

Our friends at Keep Framingham Beautiful recently completed their annual “Neaten Up November” litter cleanup campaign.
Once again, Framingham volunteers (and their pets!) stepped up and took action to clean up their community. Thank you to everyone who volunteered!
See this Facebook post for highlights and videos.

There is Still Time to Support Our Year-End Giving Tuesday Campaign

THANK YOU to everyone who has supported our Giving Tuesday campaign. We are now 81% of the way toward our $5,000 fundraising goal. Help us get over the year-end finish line with your donation!

These funds will enable us to continue to grow and support our network of 45 local chapters across Massachusetts and fund other important programs, including the Massachusetts Litter Cleanup Crew, the Great Massachusetts Cleanup, and our Next-Gen Environmental Leader Scholarship.

To Butt…or Not to Butt?” That is the Question

Should KMB volunteers pick up cigarette butts? It’s one of the Great Debates in the litter-gathering community, right up there with, “Should KMB volunteers have arrest powers?”
