We are consistently blown away by the passion, dedication, and heart behind each of the stories shared on the final round stage. In the video below, finalists Imani Branch and Maddie Guy explain what it meant to them to share their messages with more than 60,000 people during #Nats17. 

Entry Relinquishment  

The entry deadline for qualifiers was May 1, but you may still drop a student if you are willing to forfeit the entry fee. For detailed instructions, click herePlease take care of all drops ASAP to allow other teams to fill in before the alternate registration deadline of May 25.

High School Coach of the Year's Special Suprise 

Did you catch the video of us suprising Eagan High School coach Joni Anker with the news that she's the 2018 NSDA High School Coach of the Year? Joni was nominated by her school principal and her senior team captains, who are featured in the video. Get your tissues ready and hit the play button! 

Nationals Topics 

The National Tournament topic areas for Lincoln-Douglas and Public Forum are now posted. The Congressional Debate dockets for middle and high school are also available for download, and we've announced the World Schools prepared motions and various Extemp topic areas to be discussed.

Prep for Nationals with New Extemp Resources 

Spread the word, your students can now expand their knowledge base and refresh their files with a new set of International Extemp resources from the Council on Foreign Relations! This collection includes four pages of articles ranging from Russia’s resurgence to disruptive technologies and the world order. 

Are You Ready for the Student Party?

We always look forward to watching coaches and students making new friends from across the country! Join us Tuesday night of the National Tournament from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at America's Backyard & Revolution Live for a night of music, entertainment, all the food trucks you could ask for, and of course, postings! The 2018 NSDA Student Party is presented by the Institute for Speech and Debate
