Evan Rankin discusses his recent recognition as AGC of Middle Tennessee’s Emerging Professional of the Year

AGC of Middle Tennessee recently selected Evan Rankin, Project Manager on the Building Operations Team, as its 2023 Emerging Professional of the Year, an award that celebrates young professionals who are accomplished in their field and actively promote AGC's core values of skill, integrity, and responsibility while supporting the next generation of leaders through personal and professional development.
We sat down with Evan to learn more about his background and industry experience, his recent recognition and the advice he’d give other young professionals about how they can become respected leaders in the industry.

BELL’s Transportation Operations expands Civil Division
| |
Exciting news! Our Transportation Operations has expanded significantly with the growth of the Civil Division. The transformed division will provide additional support to our team, allow us to move faster and get grading professionals on jobsites earlier.
As part of this change, we recently welcomed Chris Bagley to the BELL team as Civil Division Manager. Chris comes to us from SUMMIT Constructors, Inc. with more than 23 years of experience in the industry. He has served as Senior Project Manager with highlights including Dream Hotel, Vanderbilt Belle Meade Surgery Center, W Nashville, and 1812 Broadway.

Renovations begin on Eric Church’s new bar in downtown Nashville
| |
Construction is well underway on music icon Eric Church’s latest entertainment destination - Chief’s - located at Second Avenue and Broadway in downtown Nashville. The renovation of this historic building consists of six stories and the buildout of more than 20,000-square-feet of entertainment space, including a restaurant, ticketed music venue, recording studio and rooftop bar. We’re proud to be part of another exciting historic renovation project in Music City’s famous entertainment district in partnership with the great team at AJ Capital Partners.

New Tempo by Hilton Nashville downtown celebrates topping out
| |
The 16-story, 306-room Tempo by Hilton in the heart of downtown Nashville has officially topped out! The luxury hotel will feature 12,000-square-feet of indoor/outdoor meeting space, a 2,000-square-foot state-of-the-art fitness center, an outdoor pool and bar, event lawn, and sky lobby with views of Nashville Yards and Downtown. Congratulations to HRI Hospitality and the entire project team!

Progress continues on I-55 and Crump Boulevard Interchange in Memphis
| |
We’re proud to continue making progress on the I-55 interchange in Memphis! Noise walls one and two are complete and two bridges have been demolished. We’ve built substructures on multiple bridges and are preparing to set bridge beams on our first bridge at Wisconsin Ave. We’re also excavating the new interstate roadway and building soldier pile retaining walls along the perimeter of the new roadway. The project includes a bridge replacement, two flyover bridges, a new roundabout intersection and repairs on the I-55 Mississippi River bridge.

BELL Wins FOUR AGC Awards

The BELL team recently earned FOUR awards from the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Middle TN! We earned a Member Using Members award, which honors AGC members that worked most with other AGC members. We also received two Awards of Excellence for our exceptional performance on the Carothers Parkway Bridge and McEwen Block A Office in Cool Springs. Evan Rankin, Project Manager, was also recognized by AGC of Middle Tennessee as the 2023 Emerging Professional of the Year.
Congrats to the entire BELL team for helping us bring home these prestigious awards! We share these recognitions with our clients and project teams. We are grateful for the long-lasting relationships that create opportunities to build award-winning projects.
