Political strategist and philanthropist Luis A. Miranda, Jr., the father of Lin-Manuel Miranda, will offer a fireside chat and book signing, presented by the Joseph A. Unanue Latino Institute.

Annual Federal Reserve Bank of New York (September 24, Outside of Fahy Hall)
Join us as we go to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. All participants will be getting a tour of the Bank Museum, learn how the Federal Reserve Bank works and get to meet and speak with Professionals over a panel and lunch.

Hispanic Heritage Month Bilingual Sunday Mass (October 6, University Chapel)
All are invited and welcome to join us in celebrating the end of National Hispanic Heritage Month with a special bilingual (Spanish-English) Sunday Mass. Refreshments will follow immediately after Mass in the Chapel Square (weather permitting).

Labor Day
(September 2, University Closed)
Observed the first Monday in September, Labor Day is an annual celebration of the social and economic achievements of American workers. The holiday is rooted in the late nineteenth century, when labor activists pushed for a federal holiday to recognize the many contributions workers have made to America’s strength, prosperity, and well-being.

- September 21: The feast of Saint Matthew Apostle and Evangelist is celebrated out of reverence for his role as an Apostle of Christ, his Gospel writings, and his work of evangelization

Suicide Prevention Month Mass of Remembrance

In observation of National Suicide Prevention Month, Campus Ministry and Dare to Care will sponsor a special Mass of Remembrance at 8 p.m. for all those we have loved and have taken their own lives.

- September 16, Mexican Independence Day- A Day commemorating the moment when Father Hidalgo, a priest and leader, called for Mexico's liberation from Spain in September of 1810.
