SCA Movie Night coming up
On behalf of the Sophomore Class of 2025 you are invited you to a very special event - A Theater Movie Night! The Sophomores have rented out the Blue Mouse Theater, and selected The Lorax as the featured film.
The Lorax is a heart warming, child-friendly film, that can be enjoyed by the whole family! Our hope is that families will come out and we will have a big group of people to enjoy a fun memory with. (Parents would need to stay with elementary)
This is a fundraiser for our hardworking sophomores, so we are asking for a mandatory donation of $5-7, (to cover costs and save a seat) but of course feel free to donate more!
- When: Friday, April 28th 6:00- 9:00PM
- Where: Blue Mouse Theatre | 2611 N Proctor St, Tacoma, WA
- Any other questions can be directed to Class Advisor Miss Keller, who will be present helping the officers with this event.
- Donations can be made by card or cash, and tickets picked up in the High School Office.
- Guaranteed tickets need to be purchased by the afternoon of the 28th.
Possibly, but not guaranteed cash sales at the door for any remainder tickets.
Thank you so much for your consideration, we hope to see you there!!

- An international experience without ever leaving home
- The chance to make a difference in an exchange student's life

Summer class opportunities available
We are excited that Red Comet will be offering a new FREE ONLINE program this late spring/summer called the Accelerated ALE Program. This program is a good opportunity for students to build up high school credits and enroll in some interesting elective classes that they offer. Enrolling in career-focused courses is the next best thing to a summer internship.
Courses may begin as soon as NOW and must begin before May 27th. Students will be given time until 7/31/2023 to complete the class and earn credit. There will be NO Extensions beyond 7/31. Incomplete courses will be zeroed out and closed after this date. All final grades will be added to the student's transcripts at Sound Christian and factored into their cumulative GPA.
Click here for more information about the Red Comet ALE program (offered to SCA through the Toppenish School District).
Click here for an ALE course catalog (remember that these are all SEMESTER long courses that will be completed at an accelerated pace - approximately 3 months instead of 6 months).
SCA's guidelines for students to be part of the Accelerated ALE Program:

- Maximum of two ALE courses in the program
- Good behavioral standing

Please note: All courses and/or students will require administrative approval. Administration does reserve the right for a student to not be allowed to take these accelerated classes.
If your student is interested in taking a class (or two) through this program, please notify Mrs. Reinmuth at areinmuth@soundchristianacademy.org as soon as possible with the classes your student is interested in taking.
