Looking for Lego Donations |
We have had some interest in starting a Lego project here in Door County. While we are still in the very beginning planning stages of what that might look like, I am reaching out to ask for donations. If you are doing some cleaning this summer and would like to donate Legos to Door County 4-H, that would be greatly appreciated! Please reach out to Candis at candis.dart@wisc.edu or (920)746-2260. We are especially interested in the classic Lego pieces, but would be open to Lego Duplo as well.

Attention Door County Fair Poultry Exhibitors! All Poultry are required to be Pullorum tested or have the appropriate health paperwork - this includes Egg Displays (Turkeys - do not need Pullorum testing, but see the Animal Health rules on page 12 of the Junior Fair Premium Book and reach out to the Superintendent with any questions). Pullorum testing will be done on Thursday, July 23rd from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. at the Poultry/Rabbit Building at the Fairgrounds. If you cannot attend, you are responsible for coordinating with the Poultry Superintendent, Joe Dart, to have your birds tested. If you have questions about this, please be sure to reach out to Joe at (219)869-3518.

IMPORTANT: Premise ID Registration and Renewal: If you are planning to exhibit animals at the Fair, be sure that you have a Premise ID. This is REQUIRED for all exhibitors of beef, dairy, sheep, swine, horse, poultry and goats.
- A Premise ID is completely free to obtain and is mandatory for all owners of livestock in Wisconsin.
-
Premises registration allows for much faster traces when there is an outbreak of an animal disease or an animal-borne human disease.
- Take care of this important step now so you are ready at Fair time! If you already have a Premise ID, check to make sure that it does not need to be renewed this year.
