When Jake Elorduy ’26 arrived at the University of Puget Sound, football was his entry point. A lifelong athlete, he expected a run-of-the-mill college experience, centered on his experience on the field. What he found went far beyond the game. A double major in business and communication, he has taken on multiple high-profile leadership roles, working as a campus tour guide and serving as president of his fraternity, Phi Delta Theta, and the Northwest Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
"The continuous support and care that professors, coaches, faculty, and students display helped me gain confidence in my ability to take the next step in my life,” Elorduy said.Â

On May 19, the team will find out if they've done enough to secure a bid to the NCAA championships.
