ACCESSIBILITY TIP OF THE MONTH
Video and Audio Captions
Video and audio captions are essential for creating accessible and inclusive learning experiences. By presenting information both visually and audibly, captions can improve clarity, support comprehension, and help all learners engage more fully with course materials.
In Canvas:
  • Use Panopto’s automated captioning to add captions to your Panopto videos and then review them to ensure they are accurate and complete.
  • Find and use video and audio content that provides captions and/or transcripts.
  • What to Do: Add accurate, complete captions to all videos
Learn more accessibility guidelines on the Basic Digital Content Accessibility webpage, or contact UO Online for help with captions in your Canvas content.
