Waukesha County 4-H Volunteer Requirements |
Wisconsin 4-H has over 10,000 adult volunteers and 4,200 youth volunteers. Volunteers are a major reason for Wisconsin 4-H’s ability to reach well over 48,500 youth throughout the state. Anyone working with 4-H youth must complete the necessary volunteer trainings and mandatory requirements.
We have 64 approved volunteers and 54 that need to complete their enrollment process (trainings).
Emails have been sent to individuals that still need to complete the required trainings. Emails will be sent to the member and the volunteer leaders of the club or project notifying that they have not completed the requirements or met the requirements to be a 4-H volunteer. Individuals who are not approved 4-H volunteers should not be leading projects. Club and project leaders are expected to adhere to the Wisconsin 4-H guidelines and ensure that volunteers have met the requirements.
Failure to follow these guidelines can result in individual and/or charter consequences.

Waukesha County 4-H Project Leaders Needed |
|
|
|
We are looking for volunteers to help us with our 4-H projects at the Waukesha County Expo Center.
4-H is a youth development program that provides young people with opportunities to learn by doing, grow as leaders, and make a positive impact in their communities. Volunteers help make 4-H possible. Waukesha’s youth need your help “to make the best better.” Consider sharing your knowledge, passion, and talents by helping youth members learn skills they will use throughout life. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to work with a group of young people on a specific project area, such as animal science, robotics, or photography.
If you are interested in becoming a 4-H project volunteer, please let James know at james.boling@wisc.edu. New volunteers will have the opportunity to order up to $100 on the 4-H Mall (The official 4-H store).

Committee Volunteers Needed |
We could use your help on one of our important 4-H Committees. The Leaders Association Volunteer Committees provides leadership for a committee and/or participate as a member of a committee, creates educational experiences for all youth engaged in the program, and works with youth and adult volunteers in offering a positive youth development experience for young people. For more information about our committees go to this link under Executive Board Committees https://www.waukeshacounty.gov/UWEX/4H/WCLA/. Many hands make light work, and everyone can do their part in fulfilling the 4-H moto, “Making the Best Better”!
