NEW! Student Leadership Council
To increase student voice in the organization’s decision making and programming, we are excited to announce the new Student Leadership Council (SLC). The SLC will be composed of high school student members of the National Speech & Debate Association who will provide feedback and recommendations throughout the year to ensure we are meeting students’ needs. The idea for the SLC is based on requests from students in the 2021 student membership survey for more leadership opportunities and avenues to contribute to the NSDA. Understanding Framework in Lincoln-Douglas
If you're a debater without an experienced debate coach, we've got you covered! Check out our free, self-paced, online Intro to Framework course. Framework gives debaters the power to communicate to the judge what arguments matter and is what makes LD its own distinct event. Upon completion of this course, you will be able to explain common frameworks and be prepared to run and respond to them in round or in the classroom.

Two More Springboard Events Available in 2022
You still have time to register for tonight's Springboard Scrimmage! We have one round, starting at 6:00 p.m. CT with asynchronous speech and live debate. Rising stars and open divisions of all speech and debate events are available. Registration closes at noon CT today, November 22, on Tabroom.com.
Coming up Saturday, December 3 is the Springboard Capstone Tournament. This free opportunity goes beyond the one round and offers a full-day scrimmage starting at 9:00 a.m. CT! Registration is open now on Tabroom.com. Not only are these great opportunities for you to practice your event and receive real judge feedback—you can also earn NSDA points!

We know how this activity can change lives, and we are thrilled to have a day dedicated to celebrating you, your team, and all you put into speech and debate. We can’t wait to celebrate together on March 3, 2023!

New Online Capstone Opportunity this May
We are excited to announce the inaugural Digital Speech & Debate e-Championship! This is a collaborative venture between the Tournament of Champions and the National Speech & Debate Association to provide an accessible, cost-effective online championship opportunity for students in grades 6-12. The online tournament is held May 6-8, 2023, and is presented by the TOC and NSDA with support from the NAUDL, NCFL, NIETOC, and NFHS.
