It provides information about water-related conferences, collaborative courses and field experiences, undergraduate research positions and internships, and other opportunities for students, faculty, and staff at the Universities of Wisconsin.

If you are at IAGLR June 5, don't miss the session on Fate and Transport of Microplastics, PFAS, and Other Emerging Contaminants. This is an all-day lineup of researchers from Wisconsin and throughout the Midwest. They will explore recent research advancements on the characterization, fate and transport of microplastics, PFAS, and other emerging contaminants.

Week-long Summer Program on Mallard Island, Aug. 17-23 |
The Ernest Oberholtzer Foundation is offering a week-long educational program on Mallard Island in Rainy Lake, located along the Minnesota and Ontario border. The program is free for undergraduate students, except for transportation to Rainy Lake and food.
Activities include exploration of Oberholtzer’s extensive library and archives, work projects to improve the island, short hikes and canoe paddles, and shared meals prepared by participants. Traditional Anishinaabe ceremonies may also be offered when elders are available.To apply, complete the application form under “Stewards of the Wilderness.” Applications due June 15.

My River Adventures, July 21-25 |
UW-La Crosse is hosting a multi-day camp for incoming 9-12 grade students. Students participate in instructional sessions and visits to rivers in the Driftless region for hands-on fieldwork and lab activities in collaboration with UW- La Crosse faculty, local educators and community members.

A Day in the Life of a Freshwater Scientist |
Do you know someone interested in a freshwater or marine science career? The UW-Milwaukee School of Freshwater Sciences is offering informational tours on their research boat for high school juniors and seniors, transfer students and professionals interested in pursuing a master's degree.
Prospective students will board the R/V Neeskay for an information session, tour, and science field trip. Upcoming tours:
