Student Spotlight
Maia Southwick
Meet Maia Southwick! She's a Solutions Scholar double majoring in psychology and health, society & policy. “I grew up here in Salt Lake City, Utah and I have always been interested in how other people function, which is what drew me to psychology. I intend to pursue a career where I can apply what I learn to help others and make a positive impact in my community. That is why I'm considering either non-profit work or public policy work in either health, education, and/or children. In my spare time, I volunteer and participate in research but I have really made the effort to spend time with the people I care about and exploring hobbies like art and writing.”
