JULY 2026
Campaign Update
Exciting progress is underway on the Honoring Our History, Faith in Our Future campaign. Construction has begun, with excavation for the new auxiliary gym now complete and foundation work set to begin soon. The photos highlight the latest progress alongside a rendering of the completed facility.
While the auxiliary gym will host athletic events, its impact goes far beyond game day. With student life as a key campaign priority, additional court space will allow student-athletes to practice at more reasonable hours, giving them more time for family, homework, and a good night's sleep.
This new facility will also serve as a Fema 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿, providing a safe and secure space during severe weather. It’s an investment in both safety and the overall well-being of our students. To see more renderings, visit the campaign website
Maroon Match
If you're ready to get involved, now is the perfect time! Every gift made through Friday, July 31, will be tripled, up to $3 million. Visit dowlingcatholic.org/campaign-donation to give online and help make an even greater impact.
Thank You!
Together, we have raised more than $55 million toward our $76 million goal through the generosity of 888 donors who have made gifts and pledges. Thank you to everyone who has supported the campaign and helped make this progress possible. Click here to see the full donor list.

     TRUE MAROONS
Congratulations to Eva Lynner ’22 on joining the WHO 13 News team. Eva discovered her passion for broadcast journalism during her senior year at Dowling Catholic and later interned with WHO 13 in 2024. She earned a degree in broadcast journalism with a minor in psychology from the University of Missouri in 2026. We look forward to seeing the impact she will make in the Des Moines community.
Recently retired teachers Bruce Baedke and Marshall Pauly joined Bill Cox for a special episode of Stories from Buffalo Road, a podcast featuring people who make the Dowling Catholic community so special. This episode celebrates an incredible milestone—40 years of service from Bill Cox. Listen now on YouTube
Members of the Class of 1971 recently celebrated their 55th Reunion with a golf outing at Jester Park, Dinner at Waveland Golf Club and a gathering at Coach's Pizza. A special thank you to everyone who helped organize the weekend!
