I hope everyone is having a productive summer and has carved out some time to relax and escape the summer heat. The VINSE team remains hard at work as we just wrapped up another round of professional development short courses and workshops with full enrollments in our electron microscopy, microfabrication, atomic force microscopy, and microfluidics courses, and a diverse audience filling the room in the quantum computing workshop we hosted with the QRISE Center at MTSU.
We also finished the installation of a new Elionix ELS-BODEN 50 electron-beam lithography system, which is now open to users. This tool provides a significant upgrade to our nanofabrication capabilities, enabling patterning of features down to 10 nm with high precision and high throughput for next-generation device development.
Finally, I encourage you to submit images to our Summer 2026 VINSE Image Competition. The remarkable images produced through nanoscale research not only showcase scientific achievements but also highlight the beauty and creativity that emerge from discovery. We would love to feature your most eye-catching images around our facility and in our 2027 calendar.
