International Student Orientation Newsletter
Greetings Admitted Students! Each week leading up to the start of fall semester, you will receive this newsletter with information about starting at UP. We will share tips on getting involved on campus, local transportation, study success, stories from current students, and more. Please take a few moments each week to read the newsletter to prepare yourself for arriving on-campus.
At this point, you may have either applied for, or obtained your student visa. If you have not started this process yet, or have questions about the visa process please email iss@up.edu immediately.
We are looking forward to meeting you in August!
Orientation Schedule
International Student Orientation will be held from Tuesday, August 21 - Thursday, August 23. All incoming international students are required to attend international orientation sessions 1 and 2 held on August 22 and 23. We will also host activities to help you learn about the city of Portland and meet other new students. For more information on orientation activites and events, please view the International Orientation Schedule. To confirm your spot at orientation, sign-up for activities, and early campus move-in please complete the Orientation Enrollment & Airport Pick-up Request.
New Student Checklist
The New Student Checklist provides information on important tasks that need to be completed prior to your arrival in August. The checklist offers information on enrollment, visas, housing, and your PilotsUP account. If you are having trouble setting up your PilotsUP account for the first time, please email iss@up.edu.

Registering for Classes
Undergraduate students: You can check if your course registration is complete by logging into PilotsUP. On the right of the screen you will see your fall courses listed. You may have also received an email from your program counselor with the course schedule.  If you have not received your course registration, send an email to the department you will be studying in and they will help you register.
Graduate students:  Contact your program director to register for classes. Program directors will work with each student individually to build the best schedule to meet your academic goals.
