| Cherry Blossom At-Home 10 Miler

Every year in DC the "Cherry Blossom 10 Miler" race occurs! It attracts participants from all over to run the beautiful route through the Tidal Basin and across other historical parts of the District. We don't want you to miss out on this DC tradition so we are bringing the 10 miler challenge to you at home! Learn more and Register

| DC Bucket List Tuesday, March 16 | 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM Open to All Residents
New to DC? Been here for years and still never went to the top of the Washington Monument, Capitol Building, or the White House? Join us as we venture out into the District, and cross items off your things to do in DC bucket list. These trips will include going to the Smithsonian Museums, places to eat/shop, monuments and parks, cherry tree walks, etc. Every other week we will travel to a different location around DC. Recommendations are always welcome! Typically we will meet in Kogan Plaza and travel from there. Learn More and RSVP

Each month join CC Chelsey for an afternoon pick-me-up at a local coffee/tea shop. Take a break during your day and come catch up with other residents on campus. Discuss macroeconomics over some matcha, calculus over a cappuccino, interntional affairs over some iced coffee! This will be limited to 9 on-campus students who RSVP to the Engage event. A fun and socially distanced event with your Faculty in Residence, Arturo Sotomayor, in the company of a fellow furry resident (puppy Fredrick!) We will visit some of DC monuments and memorials, such as the Lincoln, Vietnam Veterans, Korean War Veterans, and National World War II Memorials. Spend some time outdoors and take a sunset walk to the monuments with Community Coordinator Megan! Meet at the H Street entrance of District House at 5:30 PM to join. Masks or face coverings are required for this event and social distancing will be expected. Learn More and RSVP

Join Faculty in Residence Pauline Goul for a walk to pick up pastries at Rose Ave Bakery, a modern Asian American bakery with amazing donuts and other things. Sign up before Friday, March 12th to make sure you respond to my email about picking what you want before the pre-order date, when things go very quickly. This program will be limited to 9 District House students who RSVP to the Engage event. Students must comply with COVID guidelines and social distancing, have a "cleared" badge via CHC and live in District House to attend. Learn More and RSVP
