Our Debt to George Floyd
A year ago, LMU Loyola Law School declared its commitment to anti-racism, equity and inclusion as fundamental to its mission to educate excellent lawyers with a deep concern for social justice. Today, LLS is the first law school in the nation to have enacted a learning outcome that addresses the law's relationship to systemic inequality as mandatory throughout all the law school's required curriculum. This achievement reflects the systems change that our institution and community aspires to see in the world. In order to dismantle systemic racism and inequality, we must learn how to examine and critique it. Keep an eye on this space throughout the summer and into the fall semester for more on how this will be accomplished.
