  Employees at WCTA donated to a special fund over the holiday season to give back to our communities and it was a huge success — raising $800 from employee contributions! WCTA matched the amount, giving us a total of $1600 to donate to our local food banks. The following food banks each received a donation: Fertile Food Bank, Leland Food Bank, and United Way of Freeborn County. Thank you to each of these organizations for the support provided to local communities!

WCTA celebrates the Cities of Alden and Twin Lakes for being named Smart Connected Communities (SCC)! The SCC program promotes rural broadband and its role in supporting innovative economic development, effective education, efficient energy distribution and use, state-of-the-art health care, and other important issues for rural America. WCTA is proud to support our communities and their residents to fully participate in today's connected society. WCTA is excited to welcome Brittany Frerichs, Laurie Lietz, and Damon Dalluge to the WCTA team! Brittany, Business Development/Regulatory Manager, is looking forward to finding ways that she can help WCTA grow and get involved with the communities WCTA serves. She and her husband have two boys and they love to camp and snowmobile together. Outside of work she also enjoys traveling, reading, and doing puzzles. Laurie, Customer Service Manager, is looking forward to meeting our members and adding her talents to WCTA's exceptional customer service. She and her husband live outside of Forest City and have two children and a dog. Her family loves road trips and anything outdoors — boating, hiking, skiing, and fishing! She is a big concert/live music fan, loves reading and almost any type of crafting! Damon, Technician, is looking forward to building relationships and growing with WCTA. He and his wife have two children and just moved to a farm that they enjoy making their own. An interesting fact about Damon is he and his family turned a granary into a home. Outside of work he enjoys tending to his livestock. |
