New Resource: Extemp Speech Breakdown
In this new monthly video resource, an Extemper will use one of our monthly practice questions to prep for and deliver a speech on camera. When your students do the same, they can compare and contrast their performance with an expert and make note of ways to improve their research, structure, and delivery.

Sharing Your Progress with Administrators
Part of our role in supporting speech and debate is to highlight your successes for the decision-makers who control the future of your program. As your advocates, we've added a monthly digest email to your administrator celebrating all the new degrees your students have earned and contextualizing them in a national framework they can understand. Check that your administrator's info is listed on your school profile to ensure they're on the list! Admins can opt out at any time.

National Tournament Overview
Last week we announced that we will continue with our plans to hold the National Tournament in Louisville, Kentucky. We know there are differing school policies, state policies, and individual perspectives and circumstances that may impact your ability to join us in Louisville. Therefore, we will offer an online competition opportunity for anyone unable to attend the in-person event.
Thanks to supplemental events, each school could have up to four non-qualifying students compete as part of the National Tournament. Each school will have the opportunity to enter up to two students who competed at districts but did not qualify into in-person supplemental events. Each school will also have the opportunity to enter up to two different students who competed at districts but did not qualify into online supplemental events.
Learn more about our policies and procedures, and stay tuned for additional details on March 15.
