Join the First Multicultural Learning Alliance Session This Thursday
What makes the MLA special is its deliberate design as a safe space where coaches can explore critical topics without fear or threat of making a misstep. It is a judgment-free zone where you can expand your knowledge base, gain a foundational understanding of diversity-related subjects, and develop strategies to navigate the challenges that many of our students face.
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to establish a strong foundation for your DEI journey. Join us for the first session this Thursday, December 7 at 7:00 p.m. CT.

Sample Informative Speaking and Original Oratory Speech Outlines
As students outline their persuasive or informative speeches, provide them with detailed written breakdowns for Info and OO so they can examine how a speech comes together on the page as well as on video. Outlines note the thesis, transitions, claims, warrants, impacts, sources, and all the elements of a successful speech. These resources are excerpted from lesson 9 of Start Here: Teaching Middle School Public Address. Access the full lessons, included with membership »

Don't Forget—Have Your Students Contribute to our MLK Day Video
Encourage your students to join us in commemorating MLK Day on January 15 by lending their voices to a unique project. They can record a section of Martin Luther King Jr.'s iconic speech, "What is your life's blueprint?" and be a crucial part of a collective tribute honoring the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. All students are welcome to participate! Make sure their videos are uploaded by December 8 »
