Dear Tritons,
We sincerely hope that you've had a restful Fall Break, and that you were able to enjoy some time away from the classroom, lab, or library for a few days before finals kick off next week.
Because so many folks will continue to travel during this holiday season, it’s as important now as ever to be mindful of your personal health – as well as that of your fellow Tritons.
Stay well, take precautions.
Illnesses such as influenza (flu), respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), COVID-19, and the common cold are most easily spread when folks are in close, indoor contact – like on an airplane, in a car, or around the holiday table.
Remember to take these simple precautions in order to stay well for finals – and throughout Winter Break:
- Schedule them both on-campus at the Rec Gym, before that location concludes operations on Dec. 16.
- If you test positive for COVID-19, please self-isolate by minimizing contact with others. If you must, be sure to wear a mask at all times and remember to physically distance.
Masking
Although masking in indoor locations on campus becomes optional on Dec. 16, please consider wearing a well-fitting, good-quality mask when you’re symptomatic or in crowded spaces.
Hand Hygiene
By now, you know the drill: to prevent getting sick and potentially spreading illness to others – wash your hands thoroughly and often.
- Be sure to use a hand sanitizer when you can’t lather up with soap and water.
Thank you, Tritons, for continuing to demonstrate your commitment to the health and safety of our entire community.
Be well,
