Our programs provide opportunities to develop a strong sense of self, augment critical thinking and interpersonal skills, develop global and cultural competencies, and cultivate organizational skills for transition into the professional world.
Welcome to LEAD's first newsletter of the semester! What are you most excited for this semester and/or year?
I am excited about this school year for several reasons! I am much happier with the location of Fairfax and am happy to be making so many new friends. I never thought I would be able to make life work with roommates, but I am quickly finding out I was wrong. There are many upcoming academic opportunities I have this year and I am constantly intrigued by the classes I am currently taking, one being Global Health. Being a Leadership Consultant in LEAD is very helpful in allowing me to get acclimated to the University and sharpen my skills as a team player while also getting the opportunity to show students what leadership involves and how to make it fun. Every day presents a new challenge to overcome and experiencing those hardships head-on is helping me become more rounded. One last point I am excited about is to be a part of a club sport, like Olympic weightlifting, as well as the Pre-PA club, and EMS club. I look forward to every day at Mason, even when the sun isn’t shining.
