Academic integrity in the digital age |
Wednesday, October 30, 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
Hybrid and online courses (and in-person courses that use digital platforms) ask us to wrap our heads around academic integrity in a different way and even consider new pedagogies and strategies for teaching to engage students in online discussions, ask them to compose academic papers, or take online tests and quizzes. Tools like originality checkers (also known as plagiarism checkers) and proctoring software have causes for concern, including reliance on tools that could one day not be available. So, how do we best foster academic integrity in this digital age? Join us for a session discussing best practices for using tools, pedagogies, and strategies that support academic integrity and increase student engagement.
