Congratulations to the Speech & Debate Team on an outstanding showing at the Minneapple Debate Tournament last weekend! Jack Gilloley and Eden Carfrae advanced to quarterfinals, while Alessia Antezano and Keerath Chhatlani finished as runners-up at this national-level event. All four earned Top 10 placements and achieved their NSDA Honor Degree. Cesar Duran, Blake Nelson, and Preston Oleson also delivered strong performances!

Senior Photos
Please submit senior photos for the yearbook by Dec. 1 to yearbook@dowlingcatholic.org. Photos must be:
• Vertical
• Headshot (waist or neck up)
• No props (hats, equipment, etc.).
Nonpublic Transportation Reimbursement
Families who live more than three miles one-way from DCHS may be eligible for a nonpublic transportation reimbursement. Forms must be submitted each semester (by Dec. 1 & May 1). Eligible families will receive one check following the end of the school year. Instructions are available here.
Pancake Breakfast
Thank you to all who joined us for the 64th Annual Pancake Breakfast! We’re so grateful to our sponsors and volunteers, especially Jen ’89 & Paul Damge, who completed an incredible 10-year run as co-chairs, along with Matt ’86 & Beth Kiernan and Elizabeth Colosimo, bake sale chair. AP Testing
AP testing will take place May 4-8 and May 11-15. Students must enroll in a class section using the join code provided by their teacher. If students do not join their AP classroom, a test can't be ordered. Cost: $100 per exam. Pay here. Deadline to register is Nov. 14. After that, a $40 late fee will be assessed (*with the exception of spring semester courses AP Gov. and AP Microeconomics*). There are no refunds if your student decides not to take the AP exam.
Young Scientist Program
Students are invited to take part in Des Moines University’s Young Scientist Program on Nov. 15. Explore careers in medicine and health sciences and connect with professionals. Learn more and register online.
